Subject: Important Announcement – Closure of The Ohio Gym Akron

 

We hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits.  It is with a heavy heart that we write to inform you about a significant decision we have had to make regarding the future of The Ohio Gym.

Over the years, The Ohio Gym/World Gym has been a place of community, fitness, and camaraderie.  Our mission has always been to provide a welcoming environment where our members can achieve their fitness goals while building lasting connections with fellow fitness enthusiasts.  We have taken pride in being a locally owned and operated business, catering to the needs and preferences of our cherished members.

However, today we must share some unfortunate news.  

Despite our unwavering dedication and commitment to serving you, we have faced an uphill battle in recent times. Large chain corporations, with their vast resources and aggressive expansion strategies, have created an exceedingly challenging landscape for independent gyms like ours.

As a result, we regret to inform you that The Ohio Gym will be closing its doors permanently on August 28th, 2023. This decision was not made lightly, and we explored all possible avenues to continue operating.  Unfortunately, the circumstances have made it unfeasible for us to sustain our lease and compete against the big chain corporations that is taking over the space.

We want to express our sincerest gratitude to each and every one of you for being an integral part of The Ohio Gym family.  Your unwavering support, dedication, and passion for fitness have been the driving force behind our success, and we are eternally grateful for that.

In the coming weeks, we will be working diligently to ensure a smooth transition for all our members. We understand the significance of finding an alternative gym to continue your fitness journey, and we are committed to working with another local gym that shares the same values and commitment to excellence that you have come to expect from The Ohio Gym.
